I found some useful info on wikipedia about postcards, I'll leave you the link if you're interested: [link] (you can make your own: print them, draw them, cut pictures from magazines and do a collage, there are a lot of options to get creative! just make sure to leave a space to add some postage stamps)

Also, don't be afraid or shy while writting to someone you don't know, it' seasy, just write some basic info about yourself and the place/country you live on, remember that what you see as everyday life, might be something completly new to someone from the other side of the world! don't be afraid to share! , the idea is to have some fun! (and remember, if you're lazy or don't like to write that much, a postcard is the best option -it is shorter-)

BTW, if anybody else would like to trade postcards/letters (no drawings, sorry, haven't got that much free time) with me just send me a note ok?, I'd love to trade some mail with you guys!!!
